Jess Gleason graduated Wells College with a BA in Creative Writing, magna cum laude, Phi Beta, Kappa, distinction in her major, A+ on her thesis. She went on to receive an MS in LIS from Simmons College.
She has been creating and writing stories since she was very small. Her first fanfiction was in the second grade, a story about the Power Rangers going trick-or-treating and encountering The Creature From the Black Lagoon. It had illustrations.
In undergraduate college, she developed a love of creative non-fiction and has persisted with it ever since.

She has been creating and writing stories since she was too small to handle. Her first (readable) story is from the second grade about the Power Rangers trick-or-treating and encountering The Creature From the Black Lagoon. Additionally, it was fully illustrated.
