Jess Gleason graduated Wells College with a BA in Creative Writing. She received her MS in LIS from Simmons College. She graduated the Bennington Writing Seminars with her MFA in Poetry.

She has beenwriting since she was too small to handle. Her first (readable) story is from the second grade about the Power Rangers trick-or-treating and encountering The Creature From the Black Lagoon, it was fully illustrated.
